	kcICON Project Team receives honors for Public Involvement and Outreach The kcICON project received three MarCom Awards for its public involvement and outreach work. The team received one platinum award for the kcICON Project roll-out campaign; letting motorists in Kansas City know the Interstate I-29/35 corridor would experience heavy construction from 2008-2011. The team also received two gold awards, one for the quality of writing in an advertorial, the other for the project's groundbreaking event. The $245 million kcICON construction project will replace the Paseo Bridge and upgrade I-29/35 to six lanes from north of the Route 210/Armour Road interchange to Independence Avenue. The project is 33 percent complete and is expected to be finished by July 2011.
